Fareham Christmas Lights – throughout November & December

Enjoy a festively lit Fareham town centre from November 18th whilst you do some Christmas shopping.

Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market – 17th November until 21st December

Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market is recognised as one of the best in Europe. Renowned for its bustling atmosphere, stunning location and handpicked high-quality stalls, visitors from around the world visit each year to shop at the pretty wooden chalets inspired by traditional German markets, situated within the historic Cathedral grounds. Think twinkling lighting, Christmas carols, and the aroma of mulled wine and cinnamon.

Christmas at Keydell Nurseries – October until January

With a reputation for being one of the biggest and best Christmas shops and displays in the south. Visit the showroom displays from the beginning of October full to the brim with incredible decorations for both the inside and outside of your home, grouped in 20 colour themes with tinsels, trees, garlands and ribbons, as well as an impressive lighting area.

A Christmas Carol at Ashcroft Arts Centre – Saturday 2nd December

The award-winning Dyad Productions, (A Room of One’s Own, I, Elizabeth, Austen’s Women, Female Gothic) who have toured their sell-out festive show Christmas Gothic since 2015, now bring their magic to the Dickens classic and perennially relevant ghost story.

The Kennels Christmas Market – Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December (10am-4pm)

Escape the bustle of the high street and soak up the festive atmosphere at The Kennels’ Christmas Market. Shop for artisan products, festive gifts and enjoy delicious food with handpicked stalls, and plenty of mulled wine and mince pies. Free admission.

Petersfield Christmas Festival – Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December

From 7pm to 9pm on Saturday 9th December the centre of Petersfield will be alive with festive cheer. Enjoy mulled wine, churros and Christmas music live on stage in The Square with lots of family fun and entertainment. The RMW’s Charity Tractor Run will be bringing their tractors adorned with festive lights, raising money for charity. On Sunday 10th the full day time market will be back featuring over 100 wonderful stalls. Family fun and entertainment will be throughout the streets featuring a live Nativity petting zoo and fun rides.

Port Solent’s Festival of Christmas – Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December (10am-5pm)

The popular Christmas event features seasonal street entertainment and festive music, winter-warming food and drink, and more than 100 market stalls – all conveniently under cover, to help you do your Christmas shopping in style. Shop for unique, handcrafted goods and gifts at the Christmas market. Free parking all day at Port Solent.

Victorian Christmas at Fort Nelson – Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th December (10am-4pm)

Step back in time to the Victorian era and join the Fort Nelson garrison community as they get ready for Christmas. The museum’s galleries will come to life with a cast of costumed characters preparing for the festive season at the free event. A Christmas market will also take place with more than 20 stalls selling unusual gifts and treats, including jewellery, art, photographs, fashion and gin. Younger visitors will enjoy a free Arctic Animals Trail hidden around the fort, searching for Ralph the Reindeer and his friends from Saturday 2 December to Sunday 7 January. Museum admission and all activities are free this weekend.
